BJP to protest on first day of Uttaranchal budget session
Dehradun, Mar 9 (UNI) The BJP will hold demonstration in front of the Uttaranchal assembly on March 22, the first day of budget session, opposition leader Matbar Singh Kandari said here today.
'' The budget session should have convened in the first week of February. Besides, the Congress government, in its four years term had not conducted Assembly session for even 55 days, whereas in a year it should run for at least 90 days,'' Mr Kandari told mediapersons.
The Government is not going in accordance with assembly norms, he alleged.
During this session, the opposition will bring up issues like ''instability in the state, corruption, price inflation, lack of transperacy in recruitments in government sevices and lack of quality in developmental works'', he added.
Reacting to recent terrorist attack at Varanasi, the BJP leader said the incident should not be taken up for political gains.
''Congress had been saying that terrorism would be dealt with stringently but it has failed to do so,'' he said.
