Appin to set up 15 Technology labs

Chennai, Mar 09 (UNI) Appin Knowledge Solutions, an affiliate of the US based Appin Group of companies, has proposed to set up 15 Appin Technology Labs, including nine in the city.

Mr Ishan Gupta, co-founder and Director Appin Knowledge solutions, in a release here said that the establishment of these labs would enable the students and corporate executives to avail of courses at location of their convenience.

Apart from nine centres in the city, two would be opened in Coimbatore and one each in Erode, Salem, Madurai and Tiruchirapalli, he said adding the course contents were devised in a manner to bridge the gap between academic curriculam and the industry requirements. "The uniqueness is that these are in niche technology areas, project based and job oriented," he added.

Initially, the training programme would be offered in Information Security, Nano Technology, Dot Net and its applications and Robotics and Automation.

Appin Knowledge solutions had trained over 55,000 students in live seminars and workshops with many of them getting prestigious jobs and internships in the IT industry before graduation.

Realising the huge demand for these courses in the southern region, the company has embarked on an ambitious plan for the region with Chennai as the hub, he added.
