35 folklore artistes to be awarded

Kannur, Kerala, Mar 9 (UNI) The Kerala Folklore Academy announced its annual awards for the folklore artistes here today.

Thirtyfive folklore artistes, including authors would be presented the award at a function at Kozhikode in the last week of this month, Academy Chairman B Mohammed Ahmed told newsmen here.

He said the award carries a cash prize of Rs 5000 for the folklore artistes, Rs 3000 to the top ranker in the MA (Folklore) besides a certificate.

A cash of Rs 10,000 would be given for the fellowship award, he added.
