20 under-19 boys selected for training

Nagpur, Mar 9 (UNI) Twenty players of under-19 age group from various states of Central Zone along with five stand-byes, were today selected to undergo training at Zonal Cricket Academy, which is scheduled to commence here from April 15.

The nearly two months programme is part of the annual BCCI's National Cricket Academy programme to tap young talent across the country.

The selection meeting, convened by CZ chairman Ashok Bhagwat, was held at the VCA and attended by Sanjeev Rao, Chairman and Jr National selector Shashikant Khandkar, Chief TRDO, Gopal Sharma, UPCA, Taposh Chatterjee, RCA and Dorairajan, VCA.

Following are the selected players: Manish Sharma (RCA), Pranay Sharma (RCA), Tanmay Shrivastava (UPCA), Rohan Shrivastava (MPCA), Gourav Goyal (UPCA), Ankit Tiwari (UPCA), Abhishekh Tiwari (RCA), Karan Sharma (Railways), Rameez Khan (MPCA), Bharat Awasthi (UPCA), Amit Paunikar (VCA), Vishesh Dubey (MPCA), Mayank Jagdale (MPCA), Rahul Shah (RCA), Haseen Ahmad (UPCA), Rigved Mujumdar (VCA), Mohd Azaruddin (RCA), Mohd Ahmad (RCA), Mohd Karim (VCA) and Ashif Ali (MPCA).

Stand-byes: Zafar Ali (MPCA), Aditya Singh (UPCA), Shrikant Wagh (VCA), Viraj Kadbe (VCA) and Paras Jain (MPCA).
