Passenger profiling of suspects for trouble free access at airports

New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) With a view to augmenting security at important airports across the country and provide hassle-free movement for the common traveller, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has begun the system of 'passenger profiling' of 'suspects'.

''The system has been introduced with remarkable success with the recent arrest of two Nigerians, in connection with duping people through e-mail dealings being a shining example,'' CISF Director General S I S Ahmad told mediapersons.

''Besides this, through introduction of several modern gadgets and electronic vigilance, crime at airports is being handled deftly,'' he added.

The system helps in preventing the 'suspects' from escaping the law and conducting illegitimate transactions via the airports, he said, adding it also helps the general passenger a trouble-free journey, Mr Ahmad said.
