Jamia teachers protest Varanasi blasts
New Delhi, Mar 8 (UNI) The Jamia Teachers' Association today denounced the "dastardly" bomb blasts at the Sankatmochan temple and the railway station in Varanasi, and appealed to all concerned to remain calm and stand united.
The Association, representing the teachers of the Jamia Milia Islamia, said the incident should not be used for making political capital "since the terrorists do not serve any religion and make no distinction among their victims".
"These wanton acts of terrorist violence, resulting in deaths of so many innocent people is heinous to say the least and deserve condemnation by all sections of our society. Those indulging in mindless violence must know that they would never be able to break the resolve of the Indian people to stand united in the face of such challenges," Association Secretary Rizwan Qaiser said in a statement here.
