Panaji, Mar 8 (UNI) BJP State unit president Rajendra Arlekar today demanded that all illegal structures in Goa should be demolished, irrespective of their religious affiliations.

Talking to reporters here, Mr Arlekar said the Congress-led government should own the total responsibility for the recent communal riots, which caused damage to the shops, petrol pumps and vehicles at Savordem and Curochorem.

Demanding the resignation of ''inefficient'' Chief Minister Pratapsinh Rane, he charged that the administration had failed to protect the minorities, and urged the government to institute a judicial probe into the incident by a sitting or retired judge without any further delay.

He also criticised Union Minister of State for Home Shriprakash Jaiswal for not visiting the affected areas to review the situation there.
