Girl student attempts suicide

Mahabubnagar, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 8 (UNI) Tension prevailed in Shadnagar town in this district when the students went on a rampage when a girl student of Intermediate college attempted to commit suicide following the denial of hall ticket to her.

Police said the girl N Jyothi, took the extreme step when she was denied her hall ticket for want of adequate attendance. The enraged students destroyed the furnitures kept in the college premises.

She was, however, allowed to write the examination, as the authorities relented, police added.
