Fog disrupts morning flights in Kolkata
Kolkata, Mar 8 (UNI) Heavy fog in and around the Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International airport affected air traffic for several hours this morning.
The first private flight to Delhi took off at 0830 hrs, according to airport officials.
On an average flights to different destinations, including those in the north east, were delayed between one and a half hours and three hours.
The number of incoming flights had to be diverted because of poor visibility. These included one from Delhi that was diverted to Dhaka along with an international cargo flight of Saudi Arabia to the Bangladesh capital.
An Indian Airlines flight from Mumbai was sent to Patna.
