First national convention of Uma's party in Chitrakoot
Gwalior, Mar 8 (UNI) The first national convention of expelled BJP leader Uma Bharti's new party will be held at Chitrakoot in Madhya Pradesh on April 30, her confidant and former Union Minister Prahlad Patel said today.
Talking to reporters here, Mr Patel, who was here for discussion about preparations for a rally on March 21 in New Delhi, said the name of new party, symbol and flag will be announced in the convention.
He expressed the hope that permission for name of new party and symbol will be received from the Election Commission by then.
Claiming the new party will not be a party of BJP dissidents, Mr Patel said several leaders from Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal and Madhya Pradesh were in constant touch with Ms Bharti.
He said anyone having faith in Panch Nishthas -- Swabhiman, Suraksha, Swadeshi, Shuchita and Suraj -- can join the party.

The former minister said the rally in New Delhi was being organised to put an end to speculations of Ms Bharti's re-entry into the BJP.
