Top lashker Commander among two militants killed in Kashmir
Srinagar, Mar 7 (UNI) A top commander of Pakistan based Lashker-e-Toiba (LET) was among two militants killed by security forces in the Kashmir valley today.
Official sources said security forces launched a search operation following a tip-off that some militants were holding a meeting at Chatugul in south Kashmir district of Anantang.
During the operation, militants fired upon the search party. The fire was returned and in the encounter a Lashker commander Mohammad Sultan alias Khalid was killed.
One AK rifle and other arms and ammunition were recovered from the slain militant.
Sources said security forces also killed a militant at Kupwara in north Kashmir today.
