Silvassa meet to attract tourists
Silvassa, Mar 7 (UNI) In an effort to promote tourism prospects in this erstwhile Portuguese colony, a two-day conclave of tour operators is being held from March 11 by the UT administration.
Mr S P Singh, Regional Director (Tourism), is also likely to participate in the event.
The conference will help the operators plan attractive packages for tourists, an official statement said.
The Union Territory which has 40 per cent of its area under lush green cover, recieves almost 400,000 ourists every year. They are mostly from neighbouring Gujarat and Maharashtra states.
