Patna, Mar 7 (UNI) The Bihar Assembly was adjourned till lunch following bedlam by the opposition over the report of U C Banerjee Commission constituted to probe into Godhra incident.

Members of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress, Lok Janshakti Party and Left parties waved the copy of newspapers from their places during the zero hour.

The members also shouted slogans against Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and the NDA.

Amid uproarious scenes, Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi said, ''Constitution of U C Banerjee commission was politically motivated.'' ''Under a well planned conspiracy its interim report was made public during the last assembly elections,'' he said adding despite the deliberate attempt, the UPA failed to draw political mileage in the elections.

''Panicked with the constitution of judicial commission formed by Nitish Government for fresh probe into Bhagalpur riots, the reports of Banerjee commission had been made public again at the behest of RJD,'' Mr Modi added.

He said, ''The Godhra incident had become a political tool for opposition and was being misused time and again.'' Later Speaker Udai Narayan Choudhry requested the opposition members to place their points one by one. The members, however, continued with uproarious scenes compelling Mr Choudhry to adjourn the House till lunch.
