Monkeys damage Taj Mahal's gate

Agra, Mar 7 (UNI) Monkeys pulled down a part of tower of the western gate 'Saheli Burj' to the world famous monument of Taj Mahal.

Archeological Survey of India (ASI) sources, however, said no tourist was hurt in the incident, that occurred yesterday.

The damage was caused by the bunch of pranks playing simians, sources added.

The tower was erected for Mumtaz Mahal's aides, hence the name 'Saheli Burj'.

Meanwhile, the ASI had already started the renovation work.
