Meghalaya budget session from Mar 17

Shillong, Mar 7: The eight-day budget session in Meghalaya will begin from March 17.

According to calendar for the session, six days have been alloted for the government business while rest two days are meant for private members' business.

Among government business laying of ordinances, notifications, and voting on supplementary demands are among the major ones.

Presentation of budget estimates for the next financial year has been slated on March 20.

Members will have oppportunity to debate on governor's address for three days on March 22, 24 and 27.

The Chief Minister will reply to the debate on March 27.

March 28 is the last day of the session.
