Man jumps before train

Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Mar 7 (UNI) A 56-year-old man allegedly committed suicide by jumping before a speeding train in this district of Tamil Nadu today.

Police said Basheer Ahmed working in State Agricultural Department in Ramanathapuram, had come to his native place of Cuddalore as he was suffering from an ailment.

Unable to bear the mental agony due to the illness, Ahmed jumped before the Mayavaram-Chennai train and committed suicide.

The body was taken to the Cuddalore Government Hospital for post-mortem.
