K'taka to strengthen police force

Bangalore, Mar 7 (UNI) As part of its efforts to strengthen its police force, the Karnataka Government will be soon filling all vacancies in the department, Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy informed today.

Speaking after witnessing the passing out parade of the 24th team of the armed police constables here, he said that as a first step towards strengthening the forces, the government would fill posts lying vacant for the past several years.

The Chief Minister said the state police enjoyed a pride of place at the national level for its diligence and efficiency and to boost its image further, the government would take necessary measures.
