Kolar records 3 cm rain

Bangalore, Mar 7 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today. Rainfall occurred at isolated places over South Interior Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Chief rainfall amounts (cm): Kolar 3; Begur, Chamarajanagar 1 each.

Maximum temperatures fell at many places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at most places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.

Minimum temperatures fell markedly at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal at many places over North Interior Karnataka; below normal at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over South Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded highest maximum temperature of 37.4 degrees celsius and lowest minimum temperature of 14.0 degrees celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Thursday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather may prevail over Coastal Karnataka.

Forecast for Farmers: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and mainly dry weather may prevail over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka.

Forecast for Bangalore: Partly cloudy. Light rain likely. Maximum and minimum temperature would be around 32 degrees celsius and 20 degrees celsius respectively.
