Indian fashion lights up Colombo ramp!

New Delhi, Mar 7: After lighting up the ramp in countries like France, Indian fashion outfits are now making waves in neighbouring Sri Lanka.

The Displaying her first exclusive collection at the Watersedge golf resort in Colombo on February 11, Deepika's outfits -elegant drapes in soft and sensuous mauves, graceful saris - dazzled the creme de la creme of Sri Lanka, including the wife of Sri Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksha, expats, doplomats and the intelligentia.

Observers said the fashion collection bore Deepika's "signature brand of seduction, grace, glitz and glamour Modelling for the outfits were Femina Miss India Universe, 2005 Amrita Thapar and Femina Miss India World, 2005 Sindhura Gadde.

Speaking on the occasion, Deepika said,''Sri Lanka and the people here are trendier than ever. I am really happy to showcase my collection and bring a whiff of Indian fashion to Colombo, the hub of fashion in Sri Lanka.''
