Kannur, Kerala, Mar 7 (UNI) The Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) today alleged that the Kerala government was not taking any serious action to curb extremism in the state.

BJP Kerala unit leader and spokesperson P C Mohanan alleged at a press conference here that extremists were moving freely and creating a terror situation in the state.

The latest incident was the twin blasts in Kozhikode, he charged and added that a series of such incidents had occurred earlier in the state. But no one was arrested.

He also alleged that the Left Democratic Front(LDF) was talking about Iran rather than focussing on the local issues for appeasing the Muslim vote bank.

Mr Mohanan charged that Kerala's per capita debt had increased to Rs 9242 and the agriculture sector in the state had completely collapsed.

Both the UDF and LDF were appeasing the imperialist forces and were favouring the Asian Development Bank (ADB), he alleged.

He said the district presidents of the BJP would undertake 'yatras' in the state to highlight the extremist activities and the government's inaction in this regard.
