Elephants create terror in Jharkhand district
Bokaro, Mar 7: At least four people, including three women, were trampled to death and dwelling houses and properties were damaged by wild elephants in different villages of the extremist dominated Jharkhand district in the last few days, police said.
Police said one Bigni Devia was trampled to death at Mugo Kothi village on Sunday night. The elephants also damaged the dwelling houses and properties.
On the night of March four another two women were trampled to death at Mokli and Upar Dhoura village respectively.
Earlier, the elephants had also killed a 60-year-old Kokil Mahto at Banga village under Ptkhar police station of the district, police added.
