Dr Chidambaram stresses for Indo-US scientific cooperation
Mumbai, Mar 6 (UNI) Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India Dr R Chindambaram has stressed for international scientific cooperation, particularly between India and United States.
Speaking at a function to present the Indian Merchants Chamber Ramkrishna Bajaj National Quality Award 2005, Dr Chidambaram said, ''India and US both need each other for mutual benefits.'' ''We have excelled in scientific fields and attained international standards'', observed Dr Chidambaram.
He stressed the need for a technological foresight for achieving quality. Dr Chidambaram said India and China had the potential to achieve 10 per cent GDP.
Bajaj Auto patriarch Rahul Bajaj was bestowed the IMC Juran Quality medal on the occasion.
