Docs left sponge in woman's stomach

Narsinghpur, MP, Mar 7 (UNI) Another glaring instance of medical negligence came to light after a roughly one-and-a-half-foot-long sponge was found in a woman's stomach during surgery at a local private hospital.

Hirapur village-resident Suman was operated upon two days back.

''In January, this year, Suman underwent an operation upon in a district hospital and she complained of stomach pain since that time,'' said her husband Hemant Kaurav.
