CSS Group forays into Aussie market

Chennai, Mar 7 (UNI) CSS (Cybernet Software Systems) Group, the San Jose Headquartered IT Services group with offshore facilities here, has announced its foray into the Australian market with the setting up of a 100 per cent subsidiary, CSS Australia Pty Ltd.

CSS had also opened up a full-fledged office in Melbourne and would focus on the infrastructure management space. Currently, it has a presence in the US, UK, Singapore and India.

The CSS Group currently employed over 3,000 professionals out of its offshore facilities in India and had plans to double its headcount to over 6,000 in the next 12 to 18 months.

CSS Australia would target the BFSI, manufacturing, telecom and retail verticals.It is looking at acquiring six clients in the first year of its operations in Australia.

CSS Group Co Founder Shiva Ramani said ''Australia is a mature IT market. Our plan is to aggressively target several high potential segments. There is a big market opportunity for software testing and support services in Australia.'' ''We believe that Australia has the potential to be our largest market in the Asia Pacific region and we hope to make it the hub of our APAC operations. We expect Australia to eventually contribute ten per cent of the CSS Group's service revenue'' , he said.
