Club One Air lands in Mumbai to service high flying corporates
Mumbai, March 7 (UNI) Club One Air, an 'Aircraft Fractional Ownership' company, today launched its services in Mumbai.
'Fractional Ownership' of aircrafts is a rapidly growing concept where the company allows individuals to own the aircraft's services as and when required for a one-time premium amount.
''The company allows fractional onwership of the Cessna Citation II business jets for Rs two crore for ten years which is returnable after the time period is over,'' said Jaydeep Chakrabarti, Chief Marketing Officer, Club One Air.
However, the fractional owner has to also pay Rs five lakh per trip and bear the fuel cost.
''The fractional ownership suits high flying business men as it allows landing facility at more than 300 airfields in India and could allow them landing even in the backyard of their factories through the companies helicopters,'' said Managing Director Manav Singh.
Club One Air has assets worth Rs 200 crore and Manav Singh is the main promoter of the company. Some venture capitalist have also put in their money in the company whose names were, however, not divulged.
The company also has chartered services at the rate of Rs 1.25 lakh for every hour in Cessna Citation II aircraft and at the rate of Rs 1.95 lakh for every hour.
''Club One Air has the same business model as a commercial airline with their own engineers, maintenance, ground handling facilities and pilots,'' said Air Marshal Walia.
The company owns a fleet of nine aircrafts of which five are Cessna Citation Excel and Citation II series and four helicopters (two Augusta 119 helicopters, one Turboprop King Air and One Eurocopter EC 130).
Club One Air was launched in Delhi market six months ago and has listed 14 clients so far.
In future, the company is planning to launch its services in Bangalore as well as Calcutta.
