Car bombs rocks Iraqi city of Hilla
Hilla (Iraq), Mar 07: Four explosions rocked the Iraqi city of Hilla south of Baghdad today (Mar 07, 2006), and police said at least two of them were car bombs.
One of the car bombs caused no casualties. The effects of a second car bomb in the city centre were unclear.
Hilla, a religiously city 100 km (62 miles) south of Baghdad, was the site of the bloodiest single al Qaeda bombing in Iraq, when a suicide bomber blew up his car a year ago killing at least 125 people.
