All India open tennis tourney from Mar 19

Vijayawada, Mar 7 (UNI) The Gokaraju memorial All-India open tennis tournament for veterans will be held in the youth cultural club at Bhimavaram in West Godavari district from March 19 to 26.

Tournament organising secretary Srinivas Raju told UNI here that the tournament to be held for 45 plus, 55 plus and 65 plus age categories carries a prize money of Rs 1,50,000.

The qualifying matches would be held on March 19 and 20 and about 96 teams in singles and 72 teams in doubles from all over the country would take part in the tournament, he added.
