20 injured as bus overturns in AP

Eluru (Andhra Pradesh), Mar 7: Twenty people, including eight women, were injured when an Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) bus overturned at Pothavaram village, about 50 kms from here , late last night (Mar 6, 2006).

Police said the Bhadrachalam-bound bus reached Pothavaram Village on the national highway when the driver lost control of the vehicle and hit toddy trees before overturning.

Three passengers who were seriously injured were shifted to the Vijayawada Hospital while five others were taken to the Government hospital here.
