Two tribal women gangraped

Sambalpur, Mar 6 (UNI) Two tribal women from Sundargarh working as daily labourer in different construction sites here, were gang raped by unknown miscreants at Bhutapara on the outskirts of the town yesterday.

Police today said the tribal women along with their husbands and old mother-in-laws went to a ''Kabiraj''( Ayurvedic doctor) at Charbhati to get medicine for the ailing son of a tractor driver who was staying with them.

On their way back, the miscreants dragged the two women to an old house and raped them. The tribal women later lodged an FIR before the women police station.

Shockingly the two raped women were aged and have married sons and daughter. The miscreants also assaulted the husbands of the two tribal women.

When contacted, Hirakund District Superintendent of Police and Investigating officer B P Padhee said police had already collected some clues and the accused would be arrested soon.
