Dehradun, Mar 6 (UNI) Uttaranchal Chief Minister N D Tiwari today said he remained firm on his decision to quit and would meet Congress chief Sonia Gandhi soon in this regard.

Asked about his successor, Mr Tiwari said this was the prerogretive of the party high command.

''There is no change in my decision. I will meet Ms Gandhi in three or four days to discuss the issue,'' he told mediapersons on the sidelines of a function of the state's Housing Co-operative Federation here.

The octogenarian leader, who had several times expressed his intention to quit active politics, stirred up a storm when he made a public announcement to this effect last Saturday. Since then, he had been avoiding journalists but today himself volunteered to answer their questions.
