Three killed, two injured in road accident

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 6 (UNI) Three people were killed and two others seriously injured, when the mini lorry in which they were travelling collided with a tanker lorry at Korany, near Attingal, in the district, early today.

Police said the mishap occurred when the milk ladden mini lorry proceeding to Thiruvananthapuram rammed into the tanker lorry carrying petroleum products heading for Ernakulam.

The deceased were identified as driver Chiranjeevi (24), his brother Kumaresan (19), both from Tiruvannamalai and Raja (30) of Tirupattur Reddiyarpuram, in Tamil Nadu.

The injured were admitted to the Medical College Hospital here, police added.
