Speaker's ruling on carrying dagger in Assembly

Bhopal, Mar 6: Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker Ishwardas Rohani today (Mar 6, 2006) said that he will give his ruling tomorrow on carrying of daggers by members in the house.

Leader of the opposition Jamuna Devi, drew the Speaker's attention to his earlier assurance to look into the matter during zero hour. Ms Devi, who had raised the issue last week also, sought to know whether a member was allowed to carry 'Katar'(dagger) in the house.

The issue was raised when a lady member of the house was seen carrying the weapon in the Assembly.
