SP MLA hospitalised after legislature party meet

Lucknow, Mar 6 (UNI) A ruling Samajwadi Party MLA collapsed soon after attending the legislature party meeting and was hospitalised.

Jakhania (Ghazipur) MLA Chedi Lal was talking to Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav after the meeting when he suddenly collapsed.

He was rushed to Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences by security personnel.

State Parliamentary Affairs minister Mohd Azam Khan personally went with the 75-year-old MLA to the hospital.

His family members said the MLA was suffering from high blood pressure.

The Chief Minister is likely to visit him at the hospital.
