Software pro held for fraud

Hyderabad, Mar 6 (UNI) A software engineer who was supposed to have been in the US today, landed in police custody for fraudulently procuring a civil supplies card on March four in Begumberpet Area.

Police said Surya Umamaheswar was advised by his parents to take get one more card for extra gas connection.

On March four, he made an application showing one of his tenants to be his sister and submitted it to the authorities.

Finally he got the card. However, when the woman's husband came to know of this, he objected and complained with the officials who preferred to bring the matter to the notice of the police.

Surya was picked up by the police yesterday morning.
