Services of private doctors be utilise
Ranchi, Mar 6 (UNI) Jharkhand government has decided to utilise the services of private practitioners in Public Health Centre (PHC) to provide treatment to the people as the state is facing shortage of about 4,500 doctors.
The cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Arjun Munda here last evening, has directed the health department to prepare the list of services of private doctors.
The cabinet has also decided to offer soft loans for opening hospitals and clinics which would be allowed to charge rates on a par with AIIMS, according to official sources.
Meanwhile, the Ranchi branch of the Indian Medical Association has demanded the government to regular doctors at Rajendra Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) through state public service commission within a period three months.
In an emergent meeting they alleged that the government was apathetic towards the doctors and no appointment has been made during past several years.
