S N Dwivedi wins biennial SOFT(I) award

Bhopal, Mar 6 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Governor Balram Jakhar today conferred the Kochi-based Biennial Society Of Fisheries Technologists(India) Award, 2005 to pisciculturist S N Dwivedi.

''There is an urgent need to undertake rural development through sustainable use of natural resources including fisheries,'' said Dr Dwivedi at the function that took place at the city-based Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering.

He is a fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Indian Fisheries Association and Indian Biological Association, a release said here.
