Ruling MNF evokes disciplinary code against party rebels
Aizawl, Mar 6 (UNI) The ruling Mizo National Front (MNF) party has invoked disciplinary code against party members, who had indulged in the anti-party activities during recently concluded village council elections here.
MNF party sources here today said over 45 party members in Lunglei district have been suspended from the party for two years while a list of other rebels for disciplinary actions is also being prepared.
Disciplinary action is also been taken against 20 members, the sources added.
The party, prior to the VC polls, had issued stern warning that any person, who would nomination as an independent candidate against the official party candidates would certainly face punishment.
