Bhopal, Mar 6 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government will ensure that former legislators get necessary facilities besides utilisation of their experience in public life, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said today.

''The recommendations of Raghuvanshi Committee -- appointed for listing facilities necessary for former MLAs -- would be implemented,'' Mr Chouhan, while addressing a conference of former MLAs at the Vidhan Sabha conference hall here.

''Former MLAs are in close contact with people and strive to resolve the issues of public interest,'' he said, as per an official release here today.

In recognition of their contribution in public life, the state government will ensure that the former legislators get necessary facilities.

Mr Chouhan said he desired the ex-legislators cooperate with the government in implementing developmental programmes.

Assembly Speaker Ishwardas Rohani said the state government had been apprised of the recommendations of Raghuvanshi Committee.

He appreciated Mr Chouhan's positive attitude towards providing facilities to former legislators, the release added.
