Patrudu sworn in as additional judge

Chennai, Mar 6 (UNI) Mr Justice M E N Patrudu, who was transferred from Andhra Pradesh High Court, was sworn in as the additional judge of Madras High Court at a simple function in the court premises today.

Chief Justice A P Shah administered the oath of office to Mr Justice Patrudu. Advocate General N R Chandran and the Presidents of Bar and Advocate Associations welcomed the new judge.

With this appointment, the total number of judges had gone up to 40 as against the sanctioned strength of 42 for Madras High Court.
