Pandavapura, Srirangapatna recorded heavy rain of 9 cm
Bangalore, Mar 6 (UNI) Following is a Summary of observations recorded by the weather office at 0830 hours here today. Rainfall occurred at many places over South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over North Interior Karnataka.
Heavy Rainfall amounts (cm): Pandavapura, Srirangapatna 9 each; Alur 8; Ramanagara 7.
Other chief rainfall amounts(cm): Nelamangala 6; Balehonnur, Tumkur, Hassan, Bangalore city 5 each; Arsikere, Gundlupet, Turuvakere, Mysore 4 each; Mani, Bhagamandala, Virajpet, Kadur, Bargur 3 each.
Maximum temperatures rose at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka. They were above normal at most places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.
Minimum temperatures fell at many places over Coastal Karnataka; at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and changed little over South Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably below normal at a few places over North Interior Karnataka and were normal over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
Raichur recorded highest maximum temperature of 36.6 degrees celsius and Bijapur recorded lowest minimum temperature of 15.2 degrees celsius over the State.
Forecast valid until Wednesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.
Forecast for Farmers: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka.
Forecast for Bangalore: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night. Maximum and minimum temperature would be around 33 degrees celsius and 19 degrees celsius respectively.
