Opp party leaders suspended from House
Hyderabad, Mar 06: Members of the major opposition parties; Telugu Desam, The Communist party of India, CPI(M), All India Majlis-E-Itihadul Islameen were today (Mar 06, 2006) suspended from the Andhra Pradesh Assembly for two days for disrupting the proceedings of the ongoing Budget session.
As the opposition party members rushed to the well of the House demanding that the Government place all files relating to the alleged over Rs 400 crore fraud in the award of contract for the Sripadasagar Project, Legislative affairs Minister K Rosaiah moved the resolution for suspension and named the members stalling the proceedings.
