NHPC contributes Rs two crore for Kullu hospital

Shimla, Mar 6 (UNI) The National Hydro Power Corporation (NHPC) today contributed a sum of Rs two crore for the construction of the building for the District Hospital at Kulu and other necessary infrastructure.

NHPC Chairman cum Managing Director S K Garg handed over a bank draft of Rs two crore to Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh here.

Thanking the NHPC for its generous contribution, the chief minister said big industrial houses should donate liberally for the development and welfare needs of the people so as to develop the areas of their operation.

Mr Singh said this gesture would go a long way in creating goodwill amongst the company and the local people.

Several other officials of the company and senior state government officials were also present on the occasion.
