NCB arrests woman, seizes 34 kg charas

Mumbai, Mar 6 (UNI) A local court today remanded a woman, arrested yesterday by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) for possessing 34 kg ''Charas'', to police custody till March 16.

The ''charas'' recovered from her is worth around Rs 6.8 lakh in the international market and the woman, Yasminbanu Sheikh, is the wife of a drug peddler, who sold the drug after getting it from Jammu and Kashmir.

The arrest was made in Mazgaon area.

Acting on a tip off, the NCB sleuths raided the man's residence but he managed to escape leaving behind his wife, who was arrested by the NCB.
