More rains in Rajasthan likely
Jaipur, March 6 (UNI) People in Rajasthan can expect pleasant weather and more rains in the coming days, according to the met department.
Director of the Meteorological department S S Singh said the rains which have been lashing Kota and Udaipur divisions are likely to continue in the month of March and will bring rains to the state capital as well.
''March is likely to be pleasant. Intermittent rains accompanied with hail storms may take place through out the month,'' he said.
Explaining the reason behind such rains, he said, the wind pattern changes when the season changes. Therefore there are disturbances in the winds. Rains occur due to these convective activities of the winds.
''Moisture-laden winds are blowing in south and north of the state. As Kota and Udaipur, which are in south of Jaipur have received heavy rainfall, the winds blowing in from there bring rains here. Same happens with winds coming from places like Pilani which are in north of Jaipur,'' said Mr Singh.
He said the rains are not unseasonal. ''These rains usually occur in February but this year have been late.'' The temperature has fallen because of the rains and people here are heaving a sigh of relief after the unusual heat witnessed in February this year.
