Man held for cheating doctor

Chennai, Mar 6 (UNI) Central Crime Branch Police today arrested a person for allegedly cheating a lady doctor to the tune of Rs 50 lakh.

Police said Gokulan had approached Dr Nageswari of suburban Perungudi saying he was planning to make a Tamil movie from an interesting story he had and required Rs 50 lakh.

The accused then registered the title with the film chamber in his name and shot the film for a few days only to leave the project abruptly.

The doctor, after realising that she was being cheated, registered a complaint with the police who arrested Gokulan and were looking for his two associates.
