Man commits suicide fearing job loss

New Delhi, Mar 6 (UNI) Depressed over losing his 'job' following the recent Supreme Court order that pavement encroachments in Delhi be removed at the earliest, a 27-year-old man today allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself in Tilak Nagar area of West Delhi.

Shambhu Nath, a scooter mechanic, was found hanging this morning at a 'timber house' in Tilak Nagar area, a senior police official said.

''A note was found from his possession saying he feared he would be jobless as all pavement encroachments had to be removed soon following the court's order.'' This was one of the problems he mentioned in his suicide note, the officer said adding debts and personal problems were also behind Shambhu taking this extreme step.
