LS adjourned over Banerjee report on Godhra
New Delhi, Mar 6 (UNI) The Lok Sabha plunged into chaos today over the U C Banerjee panel report on Godhra, forcing the adjournment of the House thrice, the third time for the day, after the Congress and its allies continued with their demand for the resignation of the Narendra Modi government in Gujarat.
Some SP and BJP members trooped into the well while Dr Shafiqur Rahman Barq and Mr Shailendra Kumar (both SP) squatted there even as the RJD members chanted anti-Modi slogans from the other side.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi's request that the House be allowed to run and the assurance that Railway Minister Lalu Prasad would make a statement on the issue tomorrow fell on deaf ears.
The BJP members were also not far behind as they raised pro-Modi slogans and waved a photocopy of a document, for which the Chair admonished them.
Amid slogans of 'Narendra Modi murdabad' and 'Narendra Modi zindabad', Mr Balasaheb Vikhe Patil, who was in the Chair, adjourned the House for the day ten minutes after it had assembled at 1515 hrs after an hour of adjournment over the issue.
