KYKL to keep eye on sports bodies

Imphal, Mar 6: The Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL), a militant organisation, has announced that it will start investigating into the activities of sports organisations in Manipur.

The organisation further said its cadres were responsible for the assault on the president of the All Manipur Taekwondo Association and other office bearers here earlier. The organisation was forced to look into the affairs of the organisation as it was having some internal problems, with allegations of misuse of fund.

For the last two years it was trying to resolve the crisis within the sports body and it asked the president of the association to resign. The association had been staging protests against the assault of its office bearers by the cadres of the militant outfit and alleged interference in its activities.
