Kanchi seer on pilgrimage to K'taka
Kollur, Karnataka, Mar 6 (UNI) Embattled Kanchi Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati, facing legal wrangles, today visited the famous Sri Mookambika temple here.
On his arrival, he was received with 'poorna kumbha swagat' by the temple authorities. He later offered special prayers to the presiding deity.
The pontiff then proceeded to Sri Kshetra Gokarna in Uttara Kannada where he would stay overnight. Tomorrow he would visit Swarnavalli mutt in Sirsi taluk and Sri Ramachandrapura mutt in Hosnagar taluk.
The seer, who was on a pilgrimage, had yesterday visited the famous Sri Krishna temple in Udupi and held informal talks with Sri Vidyasagara Theertha Swami of Paryaya Krishnapura Mutt.
