Kaliappa Hospital chief commits suicide
Chennai, Mar 06: D J Cherian, Chief of Kaliappa Hospitals in the city, committed suicide by jumping from the terrace of his residence at Abhiramapuram, police said today (Mar 06, 2006).
Police sources told UNI that the 86-year-old doctor took the extreme step due to financial problems and debts.
The incident occurred at around 1130 hrs this morning.
Mr Cherian was rushed to Kaliappa Hospital, where he was declared dead.
